 Fab Moody Mid Century Seascape by Einar Emland I can't believe this hasn't been snapped up yet! A fantastic moody expressionist seascape oil painting by, Swedish painter and listed artist, Einar Emland. E Emland studied painting with Jules Schyl at Tekniska Skolan, and with Wilhelm Grüttrud in Oslo, with Rostrup Bøyesen in Copenhagen and at Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris 1946-1951.    Emland liked to depict everyday people and happenings and believed that art should available to everyone not just the wealthy.  Emland was a very productive painter other depicting faceless figures, landscapes and still lifes. He is represented in many museum collections His paintings are often compared to Edvard Munch, Carl Kylberg, Emil Nolde, Camille Corot and Jean François Millet. eland is represented in many public and museum collections in Sweden.  Thick paint application and great color usage.
