Wow! At first I almost dismissed this painting, but then I caught a glimpse of it again out of the corner of my eye and saw it's beauty. The subtle and very atmospheric background with it's glowing lights really are beautifully rendered. The painting has such wonderful depth. Sometimes you find a painting that will make you gasp aloud. This was one of them for me. I couldn't believe it hadn't been already snapped up. I wish I was better at photography because my photography never does these forgotten masterpieces justice.
