A fantastic moody expressionist seascape oil painting by, Swedish painter and listed artist, Einar Emland. E Emland studied painting with Jules Schyl at Tekniska Skolan, and with Wilhelm Grüttrud in Oslo, with Rostrup Bøyesen in Copenhagen and at Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris 1946-1951. Emland liked to depict everyday people and happenings and believed that art should available to everyone not just the wealthy. Emland was a very productive painter other depicting faceless figures, landscapes and still lifes.
